Usage Guidelines and Important Disclaimers
These guidelines sit alongside our Terms and Conditions and are intended to help customers use the service safely and lawfully.
A. Site and Placement Guidelines
- Private property placement is preferred unless public placement has been approved.
- Ensure enough room for delivery and collection.
- Keep overhead lines, trees, eaves, awnings and carports clear.
- Do not ask for placement over septic systems, soft ground, irrigation lines, pits or concealed services unless clearly identified and suitable.
- Driveways, lawns and pavers can mark, sink or crack under load, particularly in wet weather.
- Keep children, pets and pedestrians clear during delivery and collection.
B. Loading Guidelines
- Keep all waste below the rim.
- Spread weight evenly.
- Keep bricks, concrete, soil, tiles and pavers to approved limits only.
- Do not climb into the skip unless you can do so safely.
- Do not burn waste inside the skip.
- Do not place hot materials, liquids or pressurised containers in the skip.
C. Waste Guidance
- General mixed waste and green waste should be booked as the correct service type.
- Heavy materials must be declared in advance.
- Asbestos is not accepted unless we have expressly agreed in writing to a lawful specialist service.
- Hazardous items such as paint, chemicals, fuels, oils, gas bottles, batteries and tyres must not be placed in the skip unless expressly approved.
- If in doubt, ask before loading.
D. Access and Collection Disclaimer
If we arrive and the skip cannot be safely or lawfully delivered or collected due to blocked access, unsafe loading, permit issues, weather, or inaccurate booking information, extra charges may apply.
E. Public Land Disclaimer
If a customer requests placement on a road verge, footpath, public land or shared property, the customer is responsible for checking all permit and approval requirements unless we specifically agree to arrange them.
F. Surface Damage Disclaimer
Skip trailers are heavy, and loads shift over time. Even where care is taken, driveways, paving, turf and landscaped surfaces may mark, indent, settle or crack, especially where the surface is weak, newly installed, waterlogged or not designed for concentrated loads.
G. Compliance Disclaimer
Customers are responsible for ensuring the waste they load is lawful, accurately described, and suitable for the booked waste stream. Extra charges, delays and reporting obligations may arise where prohibited or dangerous waste is discovered.
H. No Legal Advice Disclaimer
Information provided on our website, social media pages, quote forms and customer materials is general information only and does not replace legal, environmental, workplace safety or council-specific advice.
